Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru, Yori-centric & nothing's going to change my world
when you where young
Yori doesn't understand why they would lie to him the way they did. He doesn't understand why their parents lied. Was it because there was something wrong with wishing, wanting to be with her, his Iku?
He asked their father, once. If he could marry her—to be with her, forever—so long as he loved, loves her? That's how it's supposed to go, isn't it?
A long time ago, Mama and Papa loved one another. He can still see it in their eyes, the expressions they give one another, and their love that surrounds them since they where born. It's their love, the bands around their fingers that bind them together—forever.
But why does it have to be this way? He loves her so much—she's the only one he'll ever love as much, as strongly as he does. He doesn't understand—he never will—why he can't be with her, his Iku. Why would they—mother and father, God—ever do such a thing?
It doesn't take long, at all, for Yori to stop believing. It doesn't take him long at all.
boy, you're a star
Sometimes, he feels like giving in.
There is an ugly voice inside him that tempts him, which laughs, sickly, You can have her anytime, it curls around his heart as she sleeps, peacefully, openly, before him. His hair is wet and she's on her back. It would be so easy.
But he looks away, feels sick and dirty, and takes another bath. Ignores the voice, the feelings, how he would've done it. And it scares him, how easily he would've.
He can see it—one day, he will come out in the open.
And, one day, she will never be able to see him the same way again.
Boys notice. He can see their eyes on her back, on her long hair, on her face—
Everything about her is beautiful and it makes him dirtier for wanting to take their eyes—all who see her, who want her, as much as he—so they shall never be tempted to see, to want, to lust.
And she doesn't have a clue.
midnight show
She dreams, she sleeps.
And today, this moment, is the day everything changes.
Today is the day he can't bear the thought—won't, in fact.
And he presses his lips to hers, and the clock ticks away.
(And this, he is sure, is the worse sin of all.)
Forgive me for my sin.
He will love her forever.
author's note:
1. I'm pretty much addicted to the series—manga, not OVA—because it hits all of my kinks when it comes to shoujo manga. A-and it's a pretty obvious fact where the individual segments are titled after.
2. "Midnight Show", "Andy, You're A Star", "When You Where Young" © The Killers; for I am lame and uncreative like that and I love—okay, it's more of a like—them.
3. Also, this is one of the few pieces of writing in which I write in a male perspective. I guess you can blame that on the quality? 8D;
