"You guys should really go out."

Sakura's blush grew in intensity. "W-what are you even talking about?"

The blond let the best smile play against his face and let out a chuckle. "Really. I'm serious. You two would be perfect for each other."

Standing beside Sakura was her raven teammate whom let out an agonizingly long sigh. "Dobe, did I cause a concussion in that empty head of yours?"

"Take me seriously."

"Well, how can we when the guy that likes me is telling me to date someone else?" She turned her head to make sure Sasuke was agreeing with her. She sighed in relief when he pitched in a quick nod.

Naruto dropped his smile. "Look. Honestly, I haven't had a crush on you for several years now. I grew out of it, Sakura-chan, and I thought a pretty girl like you shouldn't go living alone."

The two were silent for a moment.

Finally, the Uchiha spoke. "Naruto, you're dead serious, aren't you?"

The blond fumed. "That's what I've been trying to tell you this whole time, teme."

Sasuke found it in himself to take the offer, somehow. He turned to the pink kunoichi and tried his best to smile-for some reason already feeling genuinely happy. "Sakura, would you like to eat out with me?"

"Heh?"

"Sakura, would you like to eat out with me?" As much as he hated it, the words came out once more, yet he never frowned.

"O-kay. S-sure, Sasuke-kun." She let her blush grow before murmuring a silent thank you to the blond and turned to leave.

Sasuke followed after her, tilting his head back a brief moment to allow Naruto to catch his grateful smile.

The blond was left alone in the field. The sun had already clearly begun to set, he decided it best to head home before it got any darker.

He was glad he finally did it. He told the two what he really thought and everything seemed to play out perfectly as well. He let a chuckle esape and another smile to enhance his tanned skin. 'I'm glad I told them.'

Though, the closer he got to his apartment, the faster his smile had begun to fade until his feet reached his doorstep and he was left with a deep and somber frown.

He placed his keys, jingling, into the lock and turned until he heard that echoing click.

I need to make amends with everyone... Before I die.

He shut the door behind him.

Okay, I decided to write something new. I came up with the idea after listening to some real great songs and thought I should write this. Please review and tell me if I should continue. I really love feedback.

Arigato!
