Suyi's Distress
"My, your pulse is racing."
If the fingers had belonged to anyone known to Suyi, she would have laughed, and her racing pulse would have been one of familiarity, not rising panic and fear. However, the bony fingers pressing lightly into her Adams apple belonged to a stranger. One, she noted, with an eerie featureless countenance and dark, uncomfortable aura. Not to mention a severe lack of respect for personal space.
An unhinged being.
The stranger's genderless fingers turn into a whole hand, and it squeezes Suyi's neck gently. "Do you know how easily I could snap your neck?"
Suyi swallows but does not answer.
The stranger continues. "Oh, and it races ever faster. Forget snapping your neck-I believe my little dear is on the verge of a heart attack."
The stranger smiles, simple yet deranged.
"I would love nothing more to cut you open from here," the beings other hand moves to indicate the hollow of her collarbone, "to here." Fingers hover over her navel and Suyi trembles.
"I can't take my eyes off of you," the stranger says, moving his ghostly face towards hers. Suyi's heart thumps louder and all her muscles clench. She desperately tries not to cry or move.
The stranger sighs and whispers, "But all good things must come to an end." It then uses one hand to reach around its back, and Suyi eyes go wide with knowing what's about to happen.
"Ah, there you are." The stranger draws out, and Suyi has one moment to glance at the sinister blade before a loud explosion erupts around her.
"Ah, fuck man!"
"Are you all right, lady Suyi?"
"Huh?"
"Get the fuck off me, old man!"
"No sir. I will never allow harm to come to any fair maiden in my presence."
"Ugh! Fucking moron-get off!"
The blonde intruder shakes his head and presses his feet more firmly into the strangers back.
"Um, Karias-nim," Suyi says, "you just ruined the play.".
