Chapter 1

This story will take place in during the events of Naruto Shippuden. Each ninja from Naruto down to Garra or whoever is in their late teens
There I was having my sparring match with my rival, Sauske. I was sure I was gonna win this time. "Go easy on each other," said Sakura. There she was, the girl of my dreams. She's all about Sauske. What does he have that I don't? Sauske and I went at each other. "Come on," said Sauske, "You can do better than that," he said. We clashed at each other again. His moves were a lot more advanced than mine, but I knew I could still fight. Others were watching. "Come on Sauske, kick his ass," said Konohamaru. MY favorite fan was siding with that asshole. I punched Sauske and he dodged. "Sauske seems a little more aggressive than before," said Sakura.
Sauske smiled knowing he was gonna win. "That does it!" I said as I did some hand signs, "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Clones of me appeared and tried to attack Sauske. "You think that's gonna save you?" he asked. We got together and did our signature move. "Na, Ru, To!" the clones said. They kicked him in the air. "Uzumaki barrage!" I said. I kicked Sauske and he dodged and countered with his lion's barrage. I fell on the floor and he kicked me in the back. I screamed in pain. "Naruto!" said Sakura. Sauske grinned knowing he won. Everyone else laughed at me. "You suck Naruto!" said one of my friends. I thought this was gonna be my life forever. That I was gonna be the sore loser. Until…..
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" shouted Sakura, "At least he's not afraid to fight!" That was the first time Sakura ever stood up for me. The others left. Sakura did some healing jutsu and fixed my back. She glared at Sauske. "And as for you, don't you ever break his back like that!" she said, "He may be weird, but he's still a ninja." "Whatever, Air-head," said Sauske. That word echoed in her head. He walked away. "Naruto," she said, "You're crazy to wanna fight Sauske." "Well he was acting like a jerk," I said. "That is true," said Sakura, "But next time, don't do something outta your league." I got out my frog wallet.
"Here," I said giving her some money. She giggled. "No thanks," she said, "Just doing what I need to do." "Am I dreaming?" I said in my head. Sakura was walking to the school. "Naruto may be strange sometimes," she said in her head, "But at least he's strong. Maybe I was wrong about him." We were going through another day of Ninja School. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked. I looked at her, then looked for Sauske. "Me?" I asked. "Your name is Naruto right?" she asked. "Sure," said Naruto. She sat down. "Try and sweet talk him," she said in her head. "So…. How's it going?" she asked. "Ok, I guess," I said, "My back doesn't hurt as much anymore." "That's good," said Sakura.
"Sorry for challenging him," I said, "I know you like him." "I do," said Sakura, "Sort of. Not really. Things change." "Oh," I said. "I want to….. apologize," said Sakura, "Why don't I make it up to you." "Really?" I asked. "Yeah," said Sakura, "On the weekend, why don't we go on a date." I smiled at the thought. "That would be sweet," I said, "I can treat." "Actually I can treat," said Sakura. "Why don't we both treat," I said. "Ok," she said smiling. Ino was watching me. After class dismissed Sakura was heading home. She was looking at pictures of a prom that posted a few days ago. "I wonder if he'd like to go with me," said Sakura. Ino pushed her to the wall. "Are you thick in the head?!" she asked. "What?" asked Sakura. "You're being nice to the biggest loser in the Hidden Leaf Village!" said Ino, "Did you hit yourself in the head?" "No," said Sakura, "And Naruto is not a loser." "Are you kidding me?" she asked, "He's screwed up almost half the missions you went on." "Look Ino, leave Naruto alone," said Sakura.
"Come on, you're my friend and I thought we agreed that Sauske was the main attraction," said Ino. Sakura got mad. "Besides, people would laugh at you for being around Naruto," said Ino, "You may as well focus on Ino." "Shut it," said Sakura. Ino was shocked that she would stand up for Naruto like that. "I'm crazy to listen to what you think, and why should I care what you think!" she shouted, "As far as I'm concerned, I like Naruto!"
"This is a joke right?" asked Ino. "No," said Sakura, "He may be a weirdo, but he never fails to amuse me." "Who are you and what have you done with Sakura?" asked Ino, "And anyway, you may as well forget about the Ninja prom, I doubt he'll wanna go with you." "Why?" asked Sakura. "Cause he might wanna go with someone who hasn't been a total dick to him," said Ino. "I have never been a dick to Naruto," said Sakura. "Please," said Ino, "All you ever did was call him names and punch him," said Ino. "When have I ever punched him?" asked Sakura. Ino showed her a video on Ninjatube of all the times she punched him.
"Ok, maybe except for that one time," said Sakura. "Look," said Ino, "If you wanna go with Naruto then no one's stopping you, but you have to start acting nice to him." "Ok," said Sakura. Meanwhile I was throwing shrunkens at targets. I overheard somebody laughing with girls. It was him, the Pervy Sage. "PERVY SAGE!" I said. He turned around and saw me. The girls laughed at him. "Damn it Naruto!" he said. Later we were talking. "When are you gonna stop with the pervert thing," I said, "Its gonna make you look bad." "Says the guy making goo-goo eyes at Sakura," said Jiriya. "Speaking of which, I need some advice," I said, "How do you win the girl of a heart?" "Ah, trying to ask her to that Ninja Prom aren't you?" he asked. "How did you know?" I asked. "I heard girls gossiping about it all day," he said, "I figured you were thinking about asking her." "Well…. Yeah," I said. "I'll teach you everything I know about women," said Jiriya. "This should be fun," said Naruto.
