I easily slipped a note to Annabeth at dinner time that told her to come to the beach at eleven oclock.
I have to admit, I was nervous, and even more so when I saw the look on her face as she read the note.
She looked up at me and I put my head down, quickly eating the rest of the food and excusing myself from dinner, which didn't really matter because I was the only one there.
I ran back to the cabin and slipped in, throwing myself on the bottom bunk of the bed closest to the window. The salty smell of the cabin soothed my beating heart, and calmed down my rushing blood.
I'm at home I thought and gently drifted into a slightly uneasy sleep. I woke up at exactly 10:56 which gave me enough time to grab a six pack of coke and run down to the beach.
I was a little early so I decided to take a swim. I threw off my shirt (which I didn't need to do because I never got wet) and dived into the water feeling the relief as the water seeped over my body and calmed my senses.
I looked a couple of meters in front of me and saw two Naiads smiling at me and waving flirtatiously. I blushed realising that my shirt was off and shot up into the above that I picked up enough momentum to throw me out of the water and into the air like a graceful whale.
I glimpsed the honey-blonde hair and striking gray eyes that told me Annabeth was on the beach, waiting for me.
As I landed back into the water I shot off out of the water and onto the beach. I pulled out my cokes and sat down beside Annabeth. I took a two cokes and gave one of them to Annabeth.
She sighed and stared at the rising and falling of the waves. She turned to me and asked "Why did you call me here?"
I looked at her and stuttered out "A-Anabeth I-I-I..." I couldn't spit out the word so I disciplined myself "Annabeth, I love you"
I gazed at her waiting for a response and she finally laughed and leaned in really close to my face, our lips were almost touching.
She then said "Percy..."
I looked at her expecting the worst and she leaned in even closer to my ear and whispered to me,
"You drool when you sleep." and she gracefully dived into the surf, resurfacing a few seconds later, laughing.
She swan out even farther to see and I laughed.
My Annabeth, my queen and I jumped in and swam after her.
