"Set this damn place on fire" Lamie could hear from her bed as her eyes widened. A few moments ago her brother Law, had rushed downstairs to check on the loud noises she could hear so distinctly from her bed.
"Why is it so noisy outside?" Lamie asked. "It's a festival. Flevance is always lively" Law said. Her big brother said it was a festival, so it must be true.
Before he ran out, Law had given her a shot of morphine to cope with the pain of the Amber Lead Disease ravaging throughout her body. Lamie's body was almost completely white and it was becoming harder to breathe by the second. A strange disease Amber Lead Disease was. It's not contagious, but people all over Flevance appear to have it. Their skin and hair bleach white like milk over time and then…well Lamie knew what would happen next. But her father, the best doctor in all of Flevance was adamant that a cure existed, so like she believed her big brother, Lamie believed him too. So if that was true, then why…? What was happening in the White Town of Flevance?
"MOTHER! FATHER!" Lamie heard. It was no mistakenly Law's voice, a screech of a young boy. He rushed towards his parents' corpses.
"Brother? Why are you crying?" Lamie thought as she tried to move her head. Like the marble statue of the Virgin Mary that stood outside the church she went to every Sunday with her family, she too was frozen and white all over.
"Set this damn place on fire", the voice was a man's. Stoic and sounded muffled as if he was wearing some kind of suit.
FWOOSH!
The hospital burst up in flames, the halls covered in a sea of fire. Windows broke and the shattered glass melted onto the walls.
"NO! NO!" a man screamed "AHHHHHHHHH!" his body burned to a crisp and disintegrated into ash. Soon the entire hospital and its patients would face the same fate.
Unfortunately for the 7 year old, Lamie heard these screams as the flames creeped closer to her room. She could only weep as she continued to hear the voices one by one disappear.
"Brother….please come save me! I'm scared!" Lamie thought as she closed her eyes.
"Dragon-san are you sure about this?" Terry asked as beads of sweat fell down his face. He took his cigarette out of his mouth and threw it on the floor, stomping out the embers. He had no taste for smoking while watching a town that was up in flames.
"No doubt", Dragon stated. His eyes fixated on the flames that danced around in the air. "I owe a certain man from here a favor from long ago…well our paths were destined to cross again sometime". The image of the inferno could be seen like a mirror in his eyes. "Let's just hope I'm not too late…" he said as he stepped off his ship.
A green gust of wind formed a path for Dragon and his men to run through. The Revolutionaries charged through, but their boss walked behind them with a menacing glare.
"Exterminating this innocent land they used as a gold mine just hide their true intentions…huh?" Dragon looked up to the night sky. "They disgust me to no end…the World Government!" his eyes burned with fury.
"This is…." an operative looked at the endless mountain of corpses that were piled on top of each other in every corner of the town. His eyes widened. "The World Government did this…..?" a female operative covered her mouth to stop herself from vomiting. "How awful…" her eyes teared up as she scanned the location.
Another operative kneeled down next to a nun who had been shot down. One hand still clutching her rosary and the other bleeding from scratching the ground, her eyes still open. He took her hands and laid them across on her stomach as if to show she was praying and closed her eyes with his pointer and middle finger. He looked ahead in the distance.
"There were children here too…!" he gritted his teeth and wept. "How could they?! They bore no sin!".
Dragon looked at his men weep as he gritted his teeth and shook in anger. "You've gone too far! World Government!" he screamed in his head. He turned around and headed towards the large hospital up in flames.
"Dragon-san where are you-" the operative screamed after him.
"Keep searching for survivors…the man I'm looking for may still be alive…if I'm lucky that is…." he said as he walked on. The operative could only look at his boss and weep. Moments later he shook his head rigorously.
"Yes sir!" He ran off into the distance as his comrades followed. They too wiped their tears away.
