This kinda goes on from the one shot I wrote the other day, Finding Hector as it's set a few months after that day.
It's about Constantine trying to overcome his shyness issues with help from his pet Hector and his sister Toph.
I hope people enjoy.
It was a few months after that sweet day when he had found Hector's egg and it had hatched, giving little Constantine his first friend since he was pretty shy around others plus he was tending to Hector, feeding him while waiting for Toph but saw her there looking out of breath.
"Ingot a letter from our parents, as they wanna meet us at the family reunion." Toph said to him making the little amphibian male curious but quiet because they had been without their parents for the Ladt few months plus their father was the King of Amphibian Thieves and was called Number One.
"W-Where do they want us, to meet?" Constantine asked.
"At Uncle Vassel's swamp in Florida, plus their kid Kermit is your age." Toph said as they were going in that direction but Constantine was scared clutching the drawstrings of his back pouch with a webbed hand.
Around lunchtime, he saw Toph go,off to find lunch as he had his back pouch on his lap as Hector was on it looking up at his young owner.
"Hey Hector, I'm not so sure about meeting my parents again or meeting my cousin because I get shy a lot especially around other kids of my species.
I wish I had a shell on my back, that I could hide in when scared.
But at least you're here, and so is Toph so at least you guys can help plus you're my best friend." Constantine said.
He was unaware Toph had heard her little brother, feeling bad for him knowing how shy he could be but would try to help him.
Constantine was seeing her back with food especially PB and J making him smile revealing crooked baby teeth but eating since he had fed Hector, but fed him crusts which he seemed to like which surprised Toph.
That night, Constantine was lying awake but cuddling Hector in his arms plus Toph was lying beside him too which made him feel better.
"You shouldn't worry about seeing our parents again or meeting relatives as it's gonna be okay plus you can show Hevtor to them." Toph said.
"Maybe, maybe not since I get tongue tied, remember?" Constantine said to her.
Toph understood what her little brother meant, since after all their other siblings were gone, she was very protective of him so glad he had Hector.
"I know you can do it, we are thieves like Dad." she said as Constantine yawned falling asleep as she cuddled him as she cared about him the way he cared for her since they were close.
