Disclaimer: I don't own anything… honest!

She was chewing on her quill when I glanced over at her. She never said anything to me, but then I was never one to help out when asked to.

My mum had a hard time getting me to put my clothes in the clothes basket back home.

James came over and was talking a mile a minute about some girl he had met who actually liked him, but I wasn't paying attention.

Lily had looked up for a split second and I saw the hurt masked in her eyes. "Hey James," I asked, too overcome with curiosity, "what's with your sister?"

He looked over at the girl in question and shrugged. "I have no idea; maybe it's the guy she was talking to a little while ago."

I felt the smoldering of jealousy in the pit of my stomach. How could she…?

"Hey Scorp, what's on your mind?" I looked up at the new voice. Albus had come along and James had disappeared, obviously trying to get someone to listen to him.

"Nothing," I said innocently enough, but you can't hide anything from Albus.

"Well, whatever it is, don't even think about it, I have it on good authority that she's interested in someone else," he warned softly.

I looked at him, confused. "Who are we talking about here?" I asked, "something tells me that we have a little communication problem."

"Nope, we don't; it's all over your face," Albus said. "You were thinking of Lily again, weren't you?"

I shrugged, not wanting to get into it.

"If you hurt her, you won't have just me and James to worry about; you're going to have to worry about dad and all of my uncles too," Albus warned me.

Okay, well… I had no intention of hurting her, but maybe I should wait… I had all Christmas season to wait after all.
