Note: This was supposed to be for Valentine's Day, but my laptop was acting stupid.

The Love

I stood in front of the door to Blaze's house. I clutched a single rose in one hand and a box of chocolates in the other. I was so nervous that I felt like running away and never returning, but I really wanted to ask Blaze to be my valentine! I would have nobody else being at my side! Blaze is my companion, my best friend, my partner, and my everything. I was going to make sure she knew these things.

Knocking on the door with a trembling hand, I breathed out a heavy sigh. My heart was hammering against my chest and I desperately tried to calm myself. When the door slid open, the beautiful Blaze the Cat was standing there.

"Silver? What are you doing here?" Blaze questioned me, curiosity shining in her eyes.

Immediately I thrust out the flower and chocolates, bowing my head and shutting my eyes tightly so I wouldn't have to look at the expression on her face.

"Blaze, these are for you!" I blubbered quickly, cheeks coloring. "I-I want you to be by my side for the rest of my life! I want to love you with all my heart! I'll take care of you and everything. You mean a lot to me and…and you're like my other half. I wouldn't be able to live without you."

Blaze was silent.

I lifted my head and opened my eyes, staring right into hers while my nervousness dispersed into nothingness. "Blaze, I love you so much. I want you to be my girlfriend. Then I want you to be my wife. I want to have children with you and grow old with you." I confessed seriously.

Blaze was still staring at me, completely silent.

Despair started to consume me as I assumed the worst, but all of that evaporated when Blaze pulled me into a warm and tight embrace. I instantly returned her hug and dropped my flower and chocolates that were supposed to be for her.

"Blaze?" I questioned, hugging her tight.

"I feel the exact same way about you, Silver…" Blaze whispered into my ear, kissing my cheek.

I smiled.

I had nothing to worry about!
