Don't give up. Don't let your fear control you. Follow your heart.
Omi swung his legs slowly back and forth. It was nerve racking …the waiting; it was twisting his insides into knots. He finally stood and began to pace, should he go?
His nervousness was chewing holes in his confidence.
He shook it off and smiled.
He would go through with it. He quickly ran from the lobby.
Why be alone.
How can you stay that way tonight?
Ken stared out at the rain falling on the pavement. He hated this…. being alone.
As the dark clouds slid across the sky, he thought of the good times and how few and far in between they were.
It was time for a change.
He quickly finished his drink, paid and walked out into the rain.
He knew exactly where he was going.
It's not your nature to surround yourself with loneliness.
Why walk away?
Yoji threw the glass at the wall, relishing the sound at the piece of glass scattering across the floor. He couldn't bear it. The feeling of helplessness, he had to do something.
After awhile he stood, grabbing a jacket and striding out of the apartment
He was going to be there, he had to. He was apart of it.
Don't worry, It's alright.
It will all be okay. Things will turn out all right.
Aya ruffled his hair and looked back outside the window. The rain continued to pour relentlessly. He watched it slid down the glass window. He put his face in his hands, blocking out all light and noise. It had to be all right.
A hand touched his shoulder and he looked up.
Omi smiled lightly.
Aya stared, and Omi's face slid into a wider grin.
They both turned to see Ken running towards them waving, behind him walking slowly was Yoji.
A door opened, a tall nurse stepped out smiling and she called.
"Ran Fujimiya?"
Aya stood and walked towards the door followed quickly by Omi, Ken and Yoji.
The nurse looked at them all.
"I'm sorry, only family can be allowed in."
"They are family" Ran replied.
The nurse raise her eyebrow, but said nothing.
With that said, they all walked in.
They followed him into the small room, where the young girl lay.
Ran sat down by her bed and picked up her hand.
Ken leaned on the railing attached to the bed beside him..
Omi sat down in the chair directly across from Ran. Yoji stood next to Omi, silently.
And the rain continued long into the night.
