Walking on the forest trail, feet over feet, I walked patiently, waiting patiently, for the deadly werewolves. Why, if life is going to end up like this, why not just go ahead and destroy yourself?
The stench that filled my nose, so overwhelming...I cringed and backed away. Is this the meaning of werewolves approaching.
I stared straight ahead-- Where the smell stenched even worse. "What?" I asked, a shocked gasp down my throat. Piercing brown eyes stared into my own yellow-brown eyes. A soft whimper.
Do people not understand beauty? Werewolves...They're so beautiful...But smelly.
I reached out to him, arm out-stretched, and there was a small silver gray wolf growling and snarling at me, ready to snap her teeth into my throat.
Another whimper from the gangly sand-brown-red wolf. He stared at the girl and back at me, like he didn't want to.
Then it happened un-expectantly.
He ran deep into the woods, and reappeared was a gangly boy with dark brown skin, short black hair, and the same peircing brown eyes. He gave me a smile, timid, and the girl was glowering at me, ready to bite my head off.
I didn't know what to do, or say. Instead, my arm still reached out, I whispered, "Werewolf"
Smiling, he nodded, and reached out to my own hand, and the girl ripped out a loud, piercing howl, whining.
"Seth Clearwater." The boy said to me. He must only be about 15.
Hundreds years older than him, my appearance of about 17...Two years older... Who cares about age?
I've found the one I love Vicky. And you can't stop this. I'm in love with a werewolf. Who cares.
"Evynn Truton." I greeted.
Not knowing what I was doing-- My face was close to his, and I was so near, ready to kiss him, but another howl ripped through the silence.
I jerked away from him. And if I bite? Won't my venom not go correctly into his.
And so, how will this ever work?
I smiled at him. "Seth, I'm sorry. I think I gotta go. The lady over there is pretty moody."
A snarl.
"Dang it Leah!" Seth said, with a faint frown. "No, Evynn, Leah's my sister. She shouldn't mind!" He said earnestly.
"Know what my venom does to yours?" I threatened.
Seth bit his lower lip, but didn't let my hand go. "I'll come with you"
That made me break into giggles. "Uh-uh. Think about your sister"
He stared into my eyes with longing eyes.
I was at a loss of words, with the stare he gave me.
My mind started to run.
Do I really want to danger a werewolf? Someone I'm falling in love with? No. I don't. I can't go to the Cullens and say, 'Look, I brought a wolfie home with me.' And I can't go to Vicky. She'll deffinetly send her newborns onto me.
My only choice?
Run away.
Or.
Forgive this thought.
I could ask for boarding at his house.
But...Think about his sister and whoever's at his house.
"I'll be back." I said, in a certain voice. "I promise"
Seth beamed at me, and then looked pained. "You're leaving me"
"I'll be back." I repeated. "I promise"
Seth bit his lower lip, looked deep into the woods-- To his sister Leah, and nodded, still not letting me go.
I laughed softly and then pulled out of his grip easily, running as fast as I could away, letting my voice ring loudly into the frightening peirce.
