Disclaimer: The people in this story happen to be from the T.V. show Red band society, but I do have an OC.

I woke up early in the morning to the screeching sound of my alarm clock, I dropped my feet to the cold flooring of the bed room, UGH I hate mornings. Me: "Mom!" Mother: "Yes April"

Me: "I can't be late for volleyball practice again!"

Mother: "Well then get dressed so we can leave!" I ran into my closet and grabbed my blue T-shirt along with my black spandex and ran down stairs Mother: "Don't forget your knee pads"

Me: "Yes mom, and don't worry I'll grab my water and my sneakers on the way out"

Mother: "Okay, I'll be in the car"

I walked over into the kitchen and grabbed my water and knee pads off of the counter. I felt dizzy but I blamed it on being nervous after all I was the hitter for the A team. I ran back to the car and we drove off to volleyball practice. As soon as I got to volleyball practice I ran inside the door.

Coach harry: "You're late April!"

Me: "Only by one minute coach"

Coach harry: "Two laps!"

I began to run slowly around the gym, My nose felt runny so I lifted up my hand to it only to find blood falling from my nose, I blacked out soon after. I woke up to the strange noise of beeping.

Me: "What, where am I?"

Mother: "You're in the hospital sweetie you... you have..."

Me: "Mom just tell me"

Mother:"You have leukemia" She broke out into tears. A nurse walked into the room.

Nurse: Hey I'm Nurse Jackson, and your mother has decided that you should stay in the hospital during your treatment, which could be a while. My mother ran out of the room. Did she even want me?

Nurse: "But there are some kids that would like to meet you."

A smile spread on my face.

Me: "Really they want to meet me?"

Nurse: "Yes You"

She smiled and nodded her head

Nurse: "Follow me"

We walked down a narrow hallway, past a bunch of hospital bed rooms, and into a large room.

Nurse:"This is the class room, you'll be going here every morning for school"

She slowly opened the door, and in the middle of the room there sat a bunch of kids they looked around my age.

Leo: "Hey uh Nurse Jackson?"

Nurse: "Yes Leo?"

leo: "You can leave now"

I smiled and put my hand over my mouth.

Nurse: "Ok thanks alot"

she slowly walked out of the room, and as soon as the door shut Leo got straight back to talking.

Leo: "Hey I'm Leo"

Jordi: "I'm Jordi"

I smiled, he was cute.

Emma: "I'm Emma"

Emma had long brown hair, she was very pretty but she was so skinny.

Dash: "Hey girl, I'm Dash"

Dash seemed like more of a player and it was kinda annoying when his eyes kept wandering further and further down.

Jordi:"Hey Dash I think your eyes should be on her eyes"

He laughed and slapped him of the shoulder.

Dash: "whatever man"

Me: "Thanks at least someone has respect"

Leo:" what's your name?"

Me: "April"

Leo: "why are you here?"

Me: "I have leukemia"

Leo: "Oh I have cancer myself and so does Jordi"

Jordi: "I'm getting my leg cut off next week"

Me: "Oh well I hope it goes well"

Jordi: "Thanks"

He smiled and wrapped his arm around me.

Leo: "where's Kara?"

Me: "Who's Kara?"

Emma: "She's a bitch"
