In amidst the scented smoke there lies slumbering secrets…secrets that one Detective Leon Orcot just can't seem to get his head around. Indeed, the mysterious Count D is full of them, and Leon is determined to right the wrongs that the oddly effeminate Chinese man must have committed. China Town, the setting for the marvellous and fantastical pet shop…A pet shop of horrors and dreams. Of hopes and fears, of gruesome tales, to the oddly endearing.
And yet, Leon visits D almost daily. Leaves his brother Chris in his care. D? A criminal? How preposterous! The only thing that D is guilty of, is stealing Leon's unwitting heart.
