Dear Jack,
It's not the same anymore.
It has been twelve days since you have been gone.
Mother just sits in the chair by the fireplace, crying and holding one of your shirts,
Father comes home late every night,stumbling around while his breath reeks of alcohol.
I try to be happy and keep having fun but its hard knowing that i'm getting married to John Bennett,by the start of the spring.
Father told me that it's my duty to make sure that I think what's best for the family, now that you are gone. But I don't want to get married Jack, i'm scared. John Bennett is a tall strong man who never smiles. I need you big brother please come save me. I know he will kill any baby i give me, if it's not a son.
