"Coming Home to You"
The alarm clock rings at 4AM. Ron quickly shuts the alarm off before it wakes up Kim. She had been up half the night tending to the sick kids. Ron got up quietly and started getting ready for work. On his way out, he kissed Kim on the cheek and whispered, "I love you." A smile appeared on Kim's face as she mumbled, "I love you too Ron" in her sleep. Ron checked on the sleeping kids on the way out of the house. Ron was the executive chef at the fancy new restaurant that opened a few months back. He got in the car and turned on the radio.

Things don't always go my way
It might rain but that's ok

The restaurant was very busy and it forced Ron to be away from home longer than he wanted to. His boss was always getting on him to streamline things in the kitchen and to get the food served more quickly. Someday he hoped he could open his own restaurant that he could run with Kim. He'd get lots of help so he could spend more time at home. He hated being away from his family as long as he was every day. After he parked, he sat in the car a few minutes and stared at the picture of his family he kept in the glove box.

Ron recalled the events of the years since they graduated high school. Kim had decided to put her career ambitions on hold to raise a family. Ron fondly recalled the night he proposed to Kim under the tree where they first met. Tears came to his eyes.

Ron reluctantly got out of the car and headed into work. The day seemed to drag on forever. Later that evening, after the kids were put to bed, Kim and Ron sat on the porch swing, looking at the stars and holding one another, talking.

Ron looked at his wife and smiled. Kim asked, "What are you thinking about?" Ron leaned over and kissed Kim and said, "Oh, just thinking about my beautiful wife and wonderful family. I love you Kim. Thank you for marrying me!" They shared a long passionate kiss.
