"Start the countdown!" yelled Dick Clark from Grissom and Sara's television screen.

Grissom and Sara sat together on his couch.
"9!"
Her arms were wrapped around his waist.

His were wrapped around her shoulders.

Her head was leaning against his chest.

His one hand was playfully stroking her hair.
"5!"
Her eyes were glued to the colourful array of people shown on the TV.

His were glued to her.
"3!"
He gently kissed the top of her head.

She smiled softly as she turned to look up at him.

She raised her lips to his and they shared a gentle, but passionate kiss.
"Happy New Year!" Dick Clark said joyfully.
Grissom stared into her lovely brown eyes, "Happy New Year honey."
