As a noob to the Runescape experience, I recently completed the Cook's Assistant quest as my first one. It was definitely an experience and I was happy to get my 300 cooking XP and 500 coins! After talking to the cook, he told me that he was in a lot of trouble. It was the Duke's birthday and the cook forgot to get the ingredients to make a cake – egg, milk & flour. I agreed to help him and immediately set off, making my way outside of the castle walls.
After finding a field full of wheat and picking some, I headed to the nearby windmill where the operator helped me to grind it into very fine flour. Next up was the milk. I found a field with some promising looking dairy cows and with some help from the locals, I found the prize-winning cow that would produce the milk that the cook requested. After that, I went North to the chicken farm and waited for a large one to be laid. I was then on my way back to the castle to present my wares to the cook. He was most appreciative of my efforts and awarded me with 1 QP, 20 sardines and access to his range as well. I'm now on my way!
