Sky x Jason
One-shot - Rated K+
Sky and Jason are on the apartment rooftops, admiring the stars.
"Hey, Jason?"
"Hmm...?" Jason's head lolled to the side to stare hazily at his boyfriend. Sky's eyes were completely entranced by the sky, watching, waiting for something to happen- as if he looked away, he'd miss it.
"Do you ever wonder what's out there?" Jason propped his arms up underneath him, giving the bigger brunette a confused look. Sky motioned upwards. "The sky. Don't you ever wonder what's up there, in space?"
Jason thought for a few moments. "I have, but that was a long time ago- before I knew you." Jason turned to stare at the stars once more. "I always wanted to know exactly how the stars were up there. I wanted to know if others were looking down on us, watching. Waiting to take over the earth."
"What made you not want to anymore?" Sky turned his head sideways.
Jason smiled, it not quite reaching his eyes. "People kept putting me down. No one really supported my idea for it and I listened to them. They told me it was a waste of time. And I was afraid of failure." Sky turned back to the stars.
"You know, Chuck Palahnuik once said, 'Do the things that scare you most'. You shouldn't let people tell you how to live," Sky said, his hand wrapping around Jason's, their fingers intertwining.
"I know that now- and sometimes I regret not living it and being able to go up in space." Jason sighed, squeezing Sky's hand. They were quiet for a few moments before Jason spoke up once more. "Why the sudden question?"
"I've always wondered if you were to actually wish upon a star, if your wish would come true."
Jason smiled and sat up. He moved to straddle his boyfriend; Sky's hands resting comfortably on his waist, tracing small circles with his thumbs. "Sometimes, you're so hopelessly romantic."
Sky chuckled slightly and shook his head. "It's my job isn't it?" Jason leaned downwards and kissed the taller brunette's nose.
"I love you~."
"But I love you more~." Sky smirked as he pulled Jason down by the neck and kissed him fully on the lips.
