My Addiction
Why did you leave?
Did I do it? My selfishness.
Trying to keep you close.
All you wanted was to be free.
I guess I was blind.
Blind to your wants and needs.
I only saw mine
but that's what love does.
I only saw that you loved me.
I tried to prevent it
but over and over you love came through.
I tried to break the addiction but
I almost died without you.
Was that the goal
or is that the reason?
Are you leaving to save me?
If that's it
than give up
my addiction can't be broken.
