Lost heir
The queen and Kind of Fiore, was a happy couple, loved by their people. Therefore, when they told them they were expecting a child, the whole country celebrated. The day came for the child to be born, the labor was hard, and the queen was dying, she wanted to hold her child, before she passed away. The king cried, and handed her beautiful boy over to her. The child started to cry, droplets of the salty water hit the queens' arms, and she cried to with a smile on her face.
Suddenly she started glowing, faintly. The color on her face returned, and she started to breathe normal again. Surprised, the doctor checked her vitals, and she was fine, better then fine actually. She was again a healthy woman, with no signs of having just given birth. The doctor called it a miracle, but the king and queen new better. This was a rare magical ability, which came from the royal family, called the phoenix tears. This magical ability skipped many generations, and were thought to be a myth. The queen and king was overjoyed, and named their newborn Kohaku.
They never told anyone, even swearing the doctor to silence. Because there are many people, who would do horrible things to gain instant healing of even the mortally wounded.
Yet, the child was kidnapped in the middle of the night, a few days later.
The king and queen was devastated, they called all magical legal guilds to find their child, promising a big award to those who found the heir. They never gave up, but the days became months, and the months became years.
The king began to doubt, and finally called of the search parties a few years later, yet the queen continued to look.
And the years passed by…
