Author's Note: This is a one shot that I wrote a while ago, and just found on my computer. Just a random bit of angst that I came up with.

He thought of her. It wasn't a sexual relationship that they had, not really, it was more the comfort of knowing that there was someone who understood you so completely that you didn't even have to talk to understand each other. After being partners for going on seven years, you couldn't help but have formed a connection. And she knew him inside and out.
The bittersweet part of it was - he didn't know her. He could normally gauge by her mood how she was feeling, but nothing more. For some reason she didn't want to let him into her life like he had let her into his.
"Fine then. Fuck her." He said, as he poured himself another beer. His apartment still smelled of her, the sweet smell of her shampoo, her make up, and her own genetic scent. It permeated his nostrils, pungent enough that she could have been sitting right behind him. He wanted to cry, felt himself almost willing the tears to fall, but he couldn't. It had been drilled into him that crying was a girly emotion, and where she was concerned, he couldn't show any emotion at all.
He should call her. He should let her know that he is thinking of her, that he isn't mad. Though at this point, he can't see why he should be mad. Truth is, he can't see anything but her face, right before she ran out of his apartment. That one damn tear, slowly making its way down her face.
Damn her, damn her to hell. He thinks, knowing that tomorrow, everything will be fine again. Tomorrow, another day where they can pretend that everything is fine. Just like they have every day for the past month now. Why can't he ever do anything right?
"Damn you 'Livia." He says, as one single tear rolls down his sculpted cheek. It hangs on the brink of his chin for a moment, and though he should wipe it away, he doesn't. He revels in the feel of that one salty tear, and waits for the rest to come.
