Over 300 years ago, a powerful saiyan baby named Kakarot was born. He was sent to Earth with a mission: Complete annihilation. But upon landing, he hit his head and forgot his mission. He was raised to be kind, gentle and loyal. With training from his master Roshi, and his Saiyan potential, the child grew to be the protector of the Earth, fighting strong foes and gaining powerful allies. Over the years, martial arts champion of the world, Hercule, took credit for the deeds of Goku and his friends. The guilt weighed down on Hercule and when he was nearing his end, he wrote about the tales of Goku and the Z fighters, admitting to his lies. The Dragonball Saga was an instant bestseller, and Hercule was regarded with respect for his honesty. After the remaining Z Fighters perished with age, they were regarded on Earth as gods, and golden statues of each of them surrounded the stage of the newly ressurected World Martial Arts tournament in their honor.
This however, was not the end of the story.
The universe seemed safe, and a large group of Saiyans revealed their survival, having been in hiding until they were sure of Lord Frieza's defeat, and came to Earth to live in peace. The Namekians did the same. This alliance strengthened and these intergalactic species were able to coexist for another hundred years, but with every alliance, there is always someone against it. There is always someone willing to go to extreme lengths to shatter it. Sometimes, even war.
This is the story of the events leading up to the war, and the story of those who strive to prevent it.
