A Saint's chant

Beyond the tears

lies courage

Beyond the night

you'll hear the calling of a star

Beyond time

the heartbeats of anticipation

Beyond mystery

a half-truth drives the humankind insane

Beyond fury

vengeance still isn't dead

Beyond the blade

a vehement voice chants along with my soul

Beyond the mazes

the Minotaur cries in rapture

Beyond the cosmos

light is just a perishable accident

Beyond the hells

the infinite misery

Beyond the black log

Speewah and its wonders extend the confines of reality

Beyond the vows

blood runs through the veins of a crucifix

Beyond pain

tears await ages to come out

Beyond defeat

struggle and intent

Beyond memories

a dream is shattered at dawn

Beyond the possible

our will to work the impossible

Beyond absence

the prisons fall under the weight of pain

Beyond magic

lies the sacred

Beyond death

souls await

Beyond the wind

we'll find forgiveness

Beyond the skies

we fight, restless creatures

of big bright eyes

Beyond our death,

Stronger than faith

lies our wish for a peaceful rest

Beyond hatred's eternity

is the eternity of our resolve to die for love,

a treasure inaccessible for those who loathe

Beyond the mercy of some violent god

we'll keep on standing, like

metallic statues who yearn for life

Beyond the world

there's a tender spirit that gives sense to our fight.

Speewah: When I was a kid, I remember reading somewhere a legend about a land called Speewah that was beyond the black log guarded by Jack, The Hunchback. Speewah was supposed to be where all the impossible and absurd things could happen. It was also supposed to begin where the boundaries end.
