Very short oneshot, dedicated to Gelly-chan whom I luff very much. (beam) Thank you for all your intelligent conversation and encouraging reviews. You've never specified which pairing you liked, so will Royal do? I shall have to do another one for Dudly, then...
Prompt for this oneshot was given by Vio-chan. Thanks.
Ryoma peeked out from under the shelter of the bus stop. It had apparently stopped raining...for now. It had been storming not fifteen minutes ago, and the unfortunate boy had been caught in the downpour. Now, fifteen minutes later, he was still soaking wet after having run in the rain to find some sort of suitable shelter. Luckily for him, though, the air wasn't chilly, but the wind did send goosebumps along his skin.
Ryoma was wet and grumpy, and he wanted to change into some dry clothing now.
As he proceeded to leave the relative dryness of the bus stop, the sky rumbled omniously. Ryoma hoped that it wouldn't rain again. He would be completely and utterly peeved if it did. He hurried along, intending to make it home without getting drenched for a second time.
There was a shrill jangle, and Ryoma was caught momentarily off-guard.
Oh, that was the phone. The cell-phone that Kei-chan had given him as a lavish present. Ryoma couldn't understand why people loved cell phones. Sure, they were useful, but that was only for receiving and sending text messages and calls. Personally, he didn't need or want a cell phone. He only took the cell phone because Kei-chan had insisted. That idiot.
As he fished the phone out of his pocket, he dimly wondered why Atobe had to buy such an expensive water-proof cell phone. He would have been happy if the phone had died from water intake.
"Moshi moshi?"
"You sound grumpy." Atobe's rich voice chuckled.
"I am grumpy."
"Oh? Ore-sama wonders why."
"I just got caught in the rain. It's no wonder I'd be grumpy." Ryoma muttered, his golden eyes narrowing at a mental image of Atobe smirking. He opened his mouth to say something more, but it was cut off by a sneeze.
"Ryoma-kun?" Atobe sounded amused by now.
"I am fine." Ryoma grounded out. He sneezed again to contradict himself.
"Sounds like someone has a cold." Atobe remarked casually. "How long were you in the rain?"
"Ten minutes." Sneeze. "I'm wet and cold and I am not interested in conversation."
"I'll send Kabaji over then."
Ryoma stopped in his tracks. "Kabaji? What for?"
"To bring over some hot porridge, of course. It's a very good cure for colds."
"Why aren't you bringing the porridge?" Ryoma accused. Sneeze. This was beginning to get irritating, the boy thought.
There was a short pause.
"It is not sightly for Ore-sama to catch a common cold." Atobe explained very patiently over the phone to a now seething Ryoma. "Ore-sama has a reputation to uphold, after all. Ore-sama is important."
Ryoma was rendered speechless at his boyfriend's sheer egoism.
Omake
"Kabaji, you really don't have to do this. I'm not a total invalid. I just have a cold."
"Usu."
"I'll tell Atobe you've delievered the porridge. You can go now."
"Usu."
"...What are you still doing here?!"
xEndx
I thank awinchan for the idea of adding a/n omake. Although it's nothing as fantastic as hers.
Typo correction and constructive criticism will be welcomed and hugged. Thank you!
