Warning: This story will be Duo/Trowa/Heero
Evil Quatre. Dark and very angsty sometimes.
So much noise, silent noise, protective noise, raging against worse things, darker things.
'You're worthless,' Quatre's voice hissed at him. 'You hinder me at every turn. Why are you breathing?'
Trowa scrunched his eyes closed, pulled the covers a little closer. In all of the Earthsphere he had found himself a corner. It was a corner where no one would look for him, mostly.
He had failed Quatre.
Darker voices were behind and empowering Quatre's words.
'Hold still, you bitch. Noname piece of crap,' the dark voice growled, out of the darkness, swirling in pain and shame and numbness.
Nothing.
Quatre hated him. The world had no place for him.
Tall and lean, his dark hair greasy and limp, it covered his whole face where he hid it. He wore expensive slacks, bought with Quatre's money. The dark purple across his face. peeked between stringy hair. The big virtues of Duo Maxwell's place was the security was lousy and Trowa would never make a mess in Duo's home, another benefit might also be that Quatre would never look for Trowa here. Not that Quatre would be looking for him.
"Hey," Duo said softly, squatting at the end of the bed. He was all medical green, forearms resting easily on his thighs. "Trowa, what the hell."
"I'm sorry," Trowa said, shifting farther away.
"I'm gonna have to kill someone for this," Duo said. "Dude, come here. Let's play doctor."
"Duo, please, can I just sit here for a while longer? I'm not hurt."
"Yeah? I suppose that's a little subjective. Hey, you can stay in my corner all you want, but I'm going to bed in about twenty minutes. I'm dead tired. If you want some noodles," Duo said, leaving that unfinished.
The scent of beef noodles did not draw Trowa out, but once Duo crawled into bed, a damp braid falling over the edge on to him, he did reach a hand up to search for Duo's hand. Duo left Trowa where he was, but he held his hand, and the both of them slept very well.
