Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. Big surprise. The first song is "Dear Friend" by Stacie Orrico. The second is "Superman" by Five for Fighting. The third is "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia.
Friend
----------------------------------------------
Dear friend
What's on your mind?
You don't laugh the way you used to
But I've noticed how you cry
----------------------------------------------
I remember.
He sat alone. He looked peaceful for once. Once in his life. He was flipping through an album full of pictures. Pictures of his parents. His friends. His loved ones. A faint smile graced his features. The last smile of Harry Potter.
He seemed to sense my presence. He turned around and looked at me. In spirit, this boy was not 17. He was much wiser than that.
I sat down beside him. Words weren't necessary at this point. We sat in silence, enjoying each others company.
After a while, he stood up to leave.
"Remember me."
------------------------------------------------------
It may sound absurd...but don't be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed...but won't you concede?
Even heroes have the right to dream
------------------------------------------------------
They saw him as a suck-up, an attention seeker, even Slytherin's heir.
How ridiculous.
I saw him as a hero. One glance was all it took. All it took to define him as a hero. At least in my eyes.
My friend.
They thought he would stand forever. Those six near death situations, he never fell. But he's falling.
No one's that lucky.
Was I the only one that heard him say "I'm coming," as he fell? You ask me, who was he talking to?
So I ask you, you really don't know?
He was the one that saved us. The one that gave us a fighting chance. Yet, everyone was questioning him. Was he really on the good side? Or was he a spy ready to strike and kill them all when the time was right?
You fools.
What did it take to get people to trust him? Absolutely nothing. You're all too ignorant. Idiots. Now, do you see your mistake?
Better late than never, right?
Wrong.
He took Voldemort down. The most amazing finish. He finished what he was born to do.
Even if it meant sacrificing himself.
We should thank him, shouldn't we? Thank him for finishing the dark wizard. Thank him for everything he's done. Thank him for saving the world. But, guess what? It's too late.
He's dead. Harry Potter is dead.
The boy who lived is no more.
I want to thank him. For what, you ask? For saving the world? For everything he's done? Not quite. I want to thank him for giving me a chance.
So, Harry thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------
That's what's going on, nothing's fine I'm torn
I'm all out of faith, this is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late, I'm already torn
----------------------------------------------------------------
I remember you, friend.
A/N: There. Review, please.
