Game

America had no idea that Belarus was so good at video games.

Apparently, she'd never even played them before. She said she'd "never really seen the point" and "had no one to play them with"

Well, when the American had heard that, he decided that needed to be fixed, and pronto.

So he'd roped his girlfriend into coming over to his place for a video game marathon. He'd pulled out every game and game system he had, and had to chuckle to himself when he saw Belarus' look of wide-eyed astonishment at the extensive assortment. Completely overwhelmed, America eventually had to choose the game to start with.

So he'd hooked up his old N64 and introduced her to the original Super Smash Bros.

He found it amusing that it was like love at first press for the icy woman. She'd delved wholeheartedly into the game, quickly picking up the controls and mopping the floor with him.

That last part was what he didn't find too amusing.

America had to admit, he did not like losing. Not in the slightest. So it was a tad annoying for his girlfriend to pulverize him every match.

But that annoyance was quickly overcome when she turned and asked him for another round, and even though her expression was as monotone as ever, he saw the glimmer of excitement in her eyes.

So he complied, selecting for another match and attempting to step up his A-game a little bit.

Eventually, once the wins had started evening out a little on each side, he'd suggested the others in the series. Although she tried not to show it, America could see the knowledge that there was more in the series excited his girlfriend.

She'd complied, and so America spent the rest of the day playing a mix of the three games with her, taking breaks only for meals. Honestly, he was quite pleased to discover that she shared his opinion that Melee was the best of the series.

Glancing at the clock, America realized with annoyance that it was time for her to go home. Sighing, he got up and switched the system off. "Sorry, Bel. We'll have to continue another day. Russia will get real pissed with me if you're not back on time."

Belarus slowly got up, smoothing out her dress. "Ok."

As America showed her to the door, Belarus quietly asked, "Can… Can we play those games again tomorrow?"

America grinned at her broadly. "Of course! I'll leave it all set up. Just stop by again tomorrow morning."

Belarus nodded curtly. "Thank you."

Kissing her boyfriend good-bye, Belarus headed out the door. America kept silent watch from the door until her car was out of sight, then headed back inside, smiling to himself.

It seemed he had a new video game partner.
