Summary: Why was Ilia the only one out of all the kids to lose her memory?

"Oh great, she still doesn't remember anything. How am I supposed to tell her father this? He's going to blame this all on me, and then I'll never become mayor! And if I'm not mayor, how will I become king! Stupid Ilia, she ruins everything!" Link glared at the girl, "I hate you." he said grumpily. Fortunately for him, she either didn't hear him, or didn't care. "What's your horse's name anyway?" she asked curiously.

"Epona." Link mumbled.

"Epona!" Ilia gave a start of surprise.

"It figures, she remembers the horse. She doesn't remember me or anyone else, but she remembers the stupid horse! Stupid Ilia."

"That's a nice name." Ilia said with a smile.

"Ooook, she doesn't remember the horse. Wonder why, she liked the horse the best. Stupid Ilia, why didn't you remember the horse? She remembers you!" "Epona would probably want me to tell you that she now hates you for not remembering her." Link said out loud.

"That's nice." Ilia said absentmindedly.

"Ooooooo, she really annoys me! Why am I even talking to her? Um… oh yeah! Trying to get her memory back? Why'd she lose it? Hey, why did she lose it? No one else did… I betcha she didn't lose anything. She's just waiting for me to say something nice and potentially embarrassing and then she's gonna start laughing at me and she'll never let me live it down." Here Link glared again at poor Ilia, who had no idea what was going on.

"Is something wrong?" she asked hesitantly.

"Ahha! I knew it!" Link shouted.

"…Ok." Ilia said, beginning to feel nervous around this strange man.

"Oh she's good. Her acting is really good, but she's not fooling me!" "I can see right through you you know! I can tell you're just faking this whole helpless I-lost-my-memory thing you got going on!" Link said proudly.

"How dare you!" Ilia asked, flabbergasted.

"Uhoh, now she's mad! She's scary when she's mad! Maybe I should run?"

"Sorry Ilia! It's just that I really care about you…"

"Ha! I knew it!" Ilia shouted. "Muhahaha! I am so telling everyone back home that you said that!"

"I knew it! She didn't fool me! …Then why is she laughing at me? Darn! I fell for it!" Link burst into tears and went running off, Ilia's laughter following him all the way.
