Chapter 1.
Cissnei sighed as she was staring at the stack of paper work in front of her, "I'll never finish.. thanks Tseng," she grumbled and rolled her eyes. He had been giving her tons of paper work recently, more than usual. Although she never complained around others, she sometimes wished that she could split the paperwork with someone else. She was still motivated as ever, but right now she wanted a break. Cissnei took a big pile of it and started walking towards her office. With the slight echoing of her steps, she hurried down the hallway of the Shinra building. Suddenly she heard another person coming after her. She gathered some pace, trying to avoid talking to someone at all costs. Suddenly she felt an arm swung around her shoulders as she leaned slightly to the other side, due to the weight of the person behind her. She already knew who was behind her without looking.
"Zack, I am busy now!" she warned him. Zack didn't seem to care, "Never worry! Here, let me take this for you!" And with that, he gently took all of the papers that was in her hands. Cissnei shook her head, softly chuckling at his immaturity. "Which part of busy do you fail to understand." He tilted his head at first, looking like a confused puppy, then he smiled the brightest smile Cissnei had ever seen. And her heart skipped a beat. "Angeal's puppy" she muttered under her breath. "I'm sorry, did you say something" he chuckled. The red haired woman shook her head. "No, never mind" she smiled.
"So, where do these go again?" His angelic blue eyes met hers as she hummed in question. She was studying his figure for a second, really staring at his backside. He turned around with a big smile on his face, "These papers. Where do they go?" Her eyes widened in panick as she had forgotten for a second where they belonged, and feared that he might have caught her staring at his ass. Cissnei cleared her throat, "Tseng's office." She said in a small voice, she could feel her face turning red. The girl looked away put he put his thumb beneath her chin. "Red is really your colour" he muttered. She shook her head vigorously "No, it's not. Now let's go!" she responded. He was gone in the blink of an eye. "damn, he's fast too." she thought.
Walking side by side, Cissnei and Zack joked around for quite a while walking the office. "Stop it!" she laughed, but he kept teasing her. "Zack, I am not joking. Stop!" she said as they had aproached Tseng's office. "but..." Zack protested. "No, don't!" she whispered. She knocked on Tseng's door "Come in!" Tseng yelled.
"Ah, Cissnei! I've been meaning to talk to you for a while." Tseng greeted her, while ignoring the SOLDIER who was placing down the, not so heavy to him, paperwork. "What about, if you don't mind me asking." Cissnei chirped. "We still haven't been able to locate Genesis, so I thought of sending you to Banora." She felt torn on the inside. Of course her job was important to her, but right now she didn't mind staying at the office, joking around with Zack and getting to know him better. The red haired woman wanted to protest, but knew that it would do no good. "When will I be leaving?" she muttered. "Tomorrow" Tseng replied. "But..." she couldn't stop the words escaping her mouth, she had promised Zack that they would go out on a date tomorrow. They had already made plans. And although it wasn't anything serious yet, it was just to test the waters. Tseng lifted an eyebrow at her. "Is that a problem?" He wondered. "No, not at all." She replied. Zack's dissapointment was visible in his blue eyes. "Great, you're dismissed." Tseng responded. They both left his office, and not exactly in high spirits.
"I'm sorry." Zack whispered. "Don't be." Cissnei responded. It wasn't his fault, "we can go on a date when I return home." She smiled, and he seemed to brighten up a litte.
