Aria's POV
I was sitting at a table in a restaurant, waiting for Ezra to arrive. It was getting late, he was supposed to be here and I'm sure he would've called if he couldn't make it. I just decided to wait a little longer. I looked at the parking lot and there was still no sign of Ezra's car. I decided to call Hardy, maybe he knew where he was. I dail his number and after 3 rings he picks up.
"Hey Aria"
"Hardy, do you know where Ezra is?"
it's silence for a moment before he answers "no sorry"
"ow okay thank you for your help"
"no problem" Hardy says and ends the call.
I sign and slide further down on my chair getting worried that something has happened. I look back at the parking lot and think "Ezra where can you be, you're never late."
Suddenly my phone rings, without looking who the caller is I pick up hope it's Ezra.
"Aria, something has happened to Ezra" a voice says, it's Wesley.
"what happened?" I asked in shock
"just come to the hospital" and with that he hangs up.
I stare blankly in front of me, my mind goes back to December.
FLASHBACK
Ezra & I walked down the beach, hand in hand after having a romantic dinner.
"That was amazing Ezra, thank you for the night"
"You don't have to thank me" he says and gives me a quick kiss.
we walk a little further down the beach and suddenly Ezra stops.
"what's wrong?" I ask
Ezra bends down on his knees and says "Aria Montgomery, I want you forever, forever and always, trough the good and the bad and the ugly, we'll grow old together, forever and always" he takes out a little box and opens it to reveal a ring "do you want to marry me?"
"yes" I say while tears roll down my cheeks, Ezra put the ring around my finger and we kiss.
END OF FLASHBACK
I drive to the hospital still in shock, walk up to the front desk where the lead me down a million halls. they tell me what happened but I can barley hear them, I only cared about seeing Ezra. I try to keep a straight face when I walk into the room. I see him laying there with dozen of wires connected to him. not knowing what to do I just sit besides his bed and hold his hand too tight.
"hey" Ezra says with a weak voice which breaks my heart.
"hey, how are you doing?" I ask showing a weak smile.
"I'm good now that you're here" that just breaks me and tears start to roll down my cheeks. "hey, don'y cry it's all going to be okay" Ezra says while he slowly wipes the tears away.
"but what if you don't make it out of here?" I ask between sobs. "I mean look at you"
"don't think like that" he answers while caressing my hand with his thumb "we'll get married, have two amazing kids, and house on the hillside and we can stay there and get old."
I smile at him while tears continue to roll down my cheeks, then I get an idea and call in the nurses. I borrow some rings from the couple next door. they bring in the chaplain and he says a couple verses. everybody's laughing while my tears fall on the floor, I look into Ezra's eyes and say "I want you forever, forever and always, trough he good and the bad and the ugly, we'll grow old together, and always remember whether happy or sad or whatever, we'll still love each other, forever and always."
I finishes the vows but the beeps are getting too slow and Ezra's voice is almost too low when he says "I love you forever, forever and always, please just remember even if I'm not there, I'll always love you, forever and always"
