I can't sleep. Ever since Ed and I broke up, I've had MANY sleepless nights. I hear my damn cell-phone go off. Who the hell would call this late? Then I see the number calling, it's ed's. I pick it up immediately.
"Ed, Why are you calling me so late? It's kinda hard to talk right now. Why are you crying? Is everything okay?" He doesn't answer. All I hear is his sobbing. I walk out of my bedroom and into the kitchen. "I gotta whisper because I can't be too loud." He very quietly asks me "why?" "Well, my girl's in the next room." I am forced to tell him. Sometimes I wish she was you. "I guess we never really moved on huh?"
It's really good to hear your voice saying my name ed. It sounds so sweet. Coming from the lips of an angel. I wish I could tell you everything.
