A Blast from the Past: Contest

Marth sat in a dimly lit tavern,

With the stench of mead and appearance of a cavern.

Sip by sip he downed his drink,

And in front of him lied a quill and ink.

Seliph sat in the barracks of war,

And noticed something he hadn't before.

For sitting before him on a table quite still,

Was a pad of ink and a quill.

Roy sat on the Lycian throne,

As his subordinate made his presence known.

He delivered to Roy his daily fill,

And a jar of ink with a quill.

Eirika sat on the edge of her bed,

Wondering what lies ahead.

On her dresser she spotted with merely a blink,

An old quill pen and a portion of ink.

Ike stood at the top of a peak,

With a blistering wind and a fog so bleak,

Then as the wind made his skin chill,

He took out some parchment, ink and a quill.

Then one by one,

For a little fun,

The lords wrote tales,

Of their wins and their fails.

They submitted these writings,

Of their various sightings.

To be judged in a contest,

To find just who's the best.

Now it's your turn,

Who knows what you'll learn?

Just take a leap and see,

It'll be easy.

So enter the Blast from the Past Contest,

And we'll see who's the best.

The deadline for registering is this Halloween,

And the deadline for entries December 1st, 2015.

All right, there's my poetry to announce this contest, but I feel it'll be best if we get more into the nitty gritty here:

The Idea: The central idea behind the contest is to write a story from some of the older timelines. These include: Akaneia (Shadow Dragon/Gaiden/Mystery of the Emblem), Elibe (Blazing Sword/ Binding Blade), Jugdral (Thracia 776/Genealogy of the Holy War), Magvel (Sacred Stones) and Tellius (Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn).

Any Genre, Pairing, etc. are allowed!

Submission Size: Due to not being the most free with my schedule, I'd like a limit of 1000 words minimum, and 15 000 maximum.

Requirements: The only requirement I have is that you specify in the description that your story is a contest entry.

Deadlines: The sign up deadline is October 31st. The deadline for all entries is December 1st. To sign up, you only need to send a PM or leave a review. All applicants will be on a list on my profile.

Judging: Currently, I'm the only judge, but should anyone else wish to, you're more than welcome. Just send me a PM, or leave a review.

Prizes: I haven't finalized prizes yet, but the # of prizes will be determined by the # of applicants.

Final Piece of Advice: If you wish to write for a game you have yet to play, or want a refresher on the characters, the Fire Emblem wiki is a great resource, as is Serenes Forest!
