A pair of emerald eyes stared out the window that showed the meticulously maintained fields of Malfoy Mansion. Her soft shoulder length blonde hair strewn out behind her on the pillow as she flopped onto her bed. Getting up to retrieve a barrette for her hair, she heard a distinctive creak from under her feet. Curiously bending down to check where the sound had come from, she noticed a small crack between the furnished floorboards. Finding that the board was loose, she shifted it around and eventually managed to pull it out. Ignoring the snide remarks that she was bound to get from her ¡°mother¡±. Lily fumbled for her wand to light up the pitch black hole.

Seeing a book like file covered with handsome leather, she lifted the book from its blanket of dust. She coughed gently as she did so, fanning the dirt away from her face. Opening the cover, she saw a picture of a pretty auburn haired girl that looked to be about 16 and a handsome young man with silvery blonde hair. Strangely he looked familiar, maybe because he looked like her brother, Draco yet he seemed so much different. It almost looked like her dad when he went to Hogwarts, not that she would know for he had never shared any memories of his school days with her. Except he actually looked, well, happy. The usual scowl upon his face was replaced by a face warming smile, a grin that even managed to light up his clouded and cold eyes. She only saw that smile when he was with her, and only her.

¡°Lily and Lucius¡hey¡¡± Reading the inscription over again, she found that it was indeed her father and another woman, probably his school sweetheart. She seemed so similar to herself, especially those eyes, right down to her name. Coincidence? Yeah probably, but still emerald eyes weren¡¯t exactly very common, but there was one other person in the school with the same eye color. Yes she was indeed talking about THE Harry Potter, her brother¡¯s enemy though she didn¡¯t have anything against him at all.

After a couple more minutes of closer inspection, she hid the book under the floorboard again, placing the loose board back in its place. Dusting off her hands, she tied her hair in a loose ponytail and trudged downstairs for breakfast. Maybe she would ask about the girl in the picture and manage to tease her father to his great embarrassment and to her absolute amusement. She knew that only she could get away with teasing the oh so proud Lucius Malfoy¡but she had this bond with him that was amazingly strong. Something that Draco and he had never had, instead, her brother always seemed to be hiding behind the skirt of their so called mom. But don¡¯t get Lily wrong; she loved her brother yet he could be such a pain in the ass sometimes. Okay all the time. Glancing placidly out the sun roof, she smiled to herself thinking, this could be an interesting day¡
