I am really obsessed with Kim Swift and I think there should be a Portal/Quantum Conundrum Fic. I am pretty much throwing this to the wall and seeing what sticks (GO CAVE JOHNSON!) and I have no idea how this will turn out, it's just for fun so don't take it seriously.

Chapter 1:
"Mr. Johnson, there's a man here that says he has some very important technology to talk to you about," Cave Johnson's assistant and lover said over the PA system.
"Is he from Black Mesa?" Cave said angrily.
"No, Sir, he's from the Quadwrangle family and has a meeting set up with you," Caroline said with a small sigh.
"Oh him, yeah send him in," Cave said in a cheery voice.
"You can go in now, Mr. Quadwrangle," Caroline said with a smile.
"Thank you," he said as he stepped by her and into Cave's luxurious office.
"What can I do for you?" Cave said, leaning back in his chair.
"I am Professor Fitz Quadwrangle and I would like to talk to you about forming a partnership with me to move science forward," Professor Quadwrangle said dramatically.
"I've heard so much about your family and all of your inventions and I'm curious to see what you have to offer me," Cave said, grinning.
"I'm very interested in the portal technology you are working with and would like to tell you about a little invention of my own that could make testing work with two people instead of one!" Professor Quadwrangle said excitedly.
"That sounds very interesting. What exactly is this invention of yours?" Cave said leaning forward in anticipation.
"I happen to have a prototype here with me," he said, reaching into his brief case and pulling out a glove with colored switches. "I call it the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device or IDS for short. It's powered by science juice and has four different dimensions: Heavy, Fluffy, Anti-Gravity, and Slow. Those are the only four dimensions I chose to use with the prototype, there are hundreds or potentially thousands of other dimensions that are just waiting to be discovered."
"Does it work?" Cave asked, his voice laced with curiousity.
"Of course it works! All of my inventions do! In order to use the IDS device we need IDS batteries that go into an IDS Receptacle. The batteries are filled with science juice and once placed in the Receptacle, the dimension that the battery activates can now be accessed with the IDS device. Living creatures remain in the pocket dimension so they will never change with the dimensions. It only affects objects," Professor Quadwrangle finished.
"That is so cool! I think we can strike up a deal and start testing soon. Maybe we can form a permanent partnership! Black Mesa will be blown out of the water completely!" Cave said sounding like a little kid in a toy store.
"Great! Imagine all of the wondrous things we can accomplish as a team!" Professor Quadwrangle said excitedly.
"We can work out all of the details later but now allow me to introduce you to the Lab Boys and show you our portal technology," Cave said as they walked out of his office.
"Sir, you have another meeting in a minute! Where are you going?" Caroline asked.
"Can you reschedule all of my meetings this afternoon please?" Cave said, flashing her a smile he knew she couldn't resist.
"OK, Sir, but don't take too long," Caroline said as the duo walked away. Sometimes Cave could be so childish but she couldn't help but love him for it.
