Okay, so this is a story that my friend, rhiflowergirl, wrote about Courtney for school. Actually, it was originally a paragraph, but we decided to add on to it. R&R!
A rainy Friday night in Seattle, Washington. A Twilight movie marathon. Nothing unusual for Courtney, former CIT/lawyer. Her parents were out on vacation, and they had asked her to watch their house for the week. She had just called Duncan and asked him to come over, since the house was theirs for the evening, and he said he would be headed to the house as soon as he could. Edward had just inquired "Doesn't that guy own a shirt?" and Courtney's lips played in the outline of an amused smirk. She was utterly in love with Taylor Lautner (A/N: Um, hello, gorgeous abs right there…). To her surprise the doorbell rang. Expecting it to be Duncan, she peered out the blinds of the window by the front door and saw a suspicious (though rather hot) guy dressed in black standing by the door. Courtney, the flirt that she was, strangely wanted to open the door, call it off with Duncan, and see what happened, but knew that she shouldn't. Instead, she turned down the movie and sat on the couch… The doorbell rang once, twice, then again for a third time. Within a few moments, the ringing stopped.
"Must have the wrong address," Courtney mumbled unknowingly.
Courtney sat contently watching the saga unfold. She heard heavy footsteps crunching on the fallen autumn leaves outside. Courtney paused the movie, and shot into the hallway. She heard glass break. Courtney, not bothering to look into the darkness, locked herself in her bedroom. She flipped on the lights and saw the strange man from earlier standing there in front of the broken window.
The man in black grabbed Courtney and covered her mouth. Ignoring her struggled kicks and attempts to break free, he carried her out to a white caravan. The man set her down gently in the back of the van. It was almost like he didn't want to abduct her.
"Did you get the valuable things?" A woman's high-pitched call came from the front of the car.
"Did you see what I have here? We could hold her for ransom!"
"Blindfold her!"
He took a tie and put it over Courtney's mocha eyes. She didn't know if she should scream of stay quiet. She decided to be quiet and think on the way to wherever they were taking her. Duncan would come to the house, realize she was gone, and come find her. The woman started the car as the man climbed in and pulled the door shut. In the meanwhile, Duncan was just arriving at the empty residence. He rang the front doorbell a few times, and then decided she must have not heard it. Maybe she had fallen asleep on the sofa. He reached into the potted plant next to the door and fumbled through the soil, pulling out an extra key. He unlocked the door and walked in.
"Court?" he called, walking through the main entrance and entering the living room.
He had expected to find her lying asleep on the couch, but when he walked in, the sofa was empty. The movie was paused.
"Hey, Courtney? Come on, Princess, this isn't a game!"
Deciding to check her bedroom, he made his way down the dark, dense hallway and stopped at her bedroom door. He looked in the room, finding only a broken window, shattered glass, and no Courtney…
Okay, so how was it? Honest opinions, please, but no flames. Flames will be used to roast marshmallows! Let us know if you'd like another chapter! Thank youuuuu!
