The Fall of the Malay Archipelago
A long time ago, there was a world where a nation is a personified as a human
Of course plenty of them were born, but most perished because of war and many other things
Those who survived grew up to become adults, and they reign over the world
Some of them became empires so strong, they terrorised other little nations
The empires are attracted to a place in a world where a family of little nations live together
The little nations are very close to each other, they lead very peaceful lives as well
But, with the arrival of the empires, everything changed
One was invaded, one was burnt, one was taken away, one was conquered, and finally, the eldest
one was colonized
The infamous empires are Portugal, Spain, Holland and Britain
Once upon a time in a cluster of islands, there was a girl and a boy
The boy was born first, so he is the brother of the girl
The girl was born not long after he did, so they grew up together, protecting each other
Soon it became obvious to them that they weren't the only ones among the islands
They met the eldest one, a kind and loving sister
The caring and happy older brother
The sweet and cheerful sister
They were happy; they are now a big family
The elder sister has many resources, so she is very important to the world
The older brother forms a strong bond with the cheerful sister, always together
Each of them has names of their own, given by humans who founded and lived on their lands
Big sister is Spice Islands (Nusantara); big brother is Brunei, sweet sister is Tawalisi (Philippines)
The girl was given the name "Malacca", after a tree where her founder had rested upon
The boy was given the name "Temasek", named for the his renowned city surrounded by the sea
Malacca is a very important port for the world; many strong nations visit her to buy her elder

Temasek used to be important, but now he helps Malacca by protecting her
All of the little nations are close with big brother India and China
The lovable big brother India and the resourceful big brother China
Their only protector from the Europeans, crumbled slowly before their eyes
One day, Portugal came to visit Malacca
Malacca received him well, but her Sultan does not like the empire
It led to a bloody battle for 40 days, ending with the loss of Malacca
Malaya, then Malacca was scared, she ran away to Johor, where her Sultan founded another
sultanate
Temasek was burnt by Portugal, but he was there to protect Malaya
Then, Tawalisi was taken by Spain, Brunei was devastated
He tried to take her back together with Nusantara (Spice Islands)
Alas, Spain was too strong, he defeated them effortlessly
One by one, the little nations fell
Until only one remain standing, Spice Islands
She sought the help of Holland to rescue her sisters
In return, Holland took control of her spice trade
Little did she know that her life will be changed forever…
