Survivor
David let out a gasp as his eyes flew opened. He attempted to raise himself up but he could not. He looked down and noticed that he was strapped to a hospital bed. "Do not move," a familiar female voice said sternly. David turned his head slightly as he noticed the emerald green skin of his mother. He gave her smile.
"Son, you are lucky that the bullet just grazed you," Fiyero said.
The green skinned young man sighed. "I would have done it again in a heartbeat. Is she all right?" He asked.
Elphaba and Fiyero looked at each other. "W-w-we don't know," Elphaba said. "She lost a lot of blood."
David blinked back the tears that were threatening to come out of his eyes. He knew that the chance of her living were slim. He took a deep shaky breath. His eyes scanned the room and fell on William and Glinda. William looked guilty and worried while Glinda looked apprehensive. He noticed that Daphne was on the bed unconscious with a few nurses beside her.
William stood straighter when he noticed that he was being stared at by the young man. "I am so sorry," he told him. I did no-"
"Don't apologize. Morrible put you under a spell. It was not your fault Are you sure Daphne is going to be all right?"
Glinda burst into tears. "W-w-w-we don't know. She has lost so much blood and she already coded once," the blonde said through choked tears.
Elphaba stood up and gave her friend a hug. "It is going to be all right. She is going to be fine," she said comfortingly.
David's eye lit up. "Mom, is there a way that you can use th-"
The green woman face palmed herself. "Of course, why did I not think of this before?" She said out loud. She grabbed the Grimmerie. "Would the two of you be okay with what I am about to?"
Glinda and William nodded.
Elphaba took a deep breath and opened the book and started to chant. It sounded a lot like singing. "Eleka nahmen nahmen Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen Eleka nahmen nahmen Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen Eleka nahmen nahmen Ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen Eleka nahmen nahmen Ah tum ah tum eleka: eleka." A flash of green light filled the room.
The nurses let out a scream. Daphne had turned into a scarecrow right before their eyes. Her eyes flew opened. "David!" She yelled.
"I'm here," he said calmly.
Daphne sighed then her eyes flashed. She got up and walked clumsily to her parents. She gave them a hug. She walked toward David, leaned on the bed, and came near his face. She then proceeded to smack him there. "David Glenn Tiggular, you have a lot of explaining to do! Y-y-y-y-you could have died!" She said angrily. "Don't you ever-"
Before she could finish her statement, David had kissed her on the lips. She pulled back. A shock look was on her face. She sat down on the floor. Her face was as red as a tomato.
Their parents looked at each other and grinned and shook their heads.
"I love you," David said.
"I love you too," Daphne whispered.
Elphaba smiled. The vision that she had seen was definitely going to come to pass. It would be a few years before it happened. She suspected but she could handle that. She would have to undo her spell first before they got married.
Author's Note: So I wrote this because people were asking how Daphne and David survived and now you all know. Please review. Oh and I will be writing a sequel to Frozen soon! I do not own Wicked.
