Unwritten
A/N: Just a songfic that haunted me until it was written…
"Alice what are you doing?"
Carlisle asked her confused. The family was once again in Forks after making sure that no one that knew them was still alive. It was a hundred years later after all.
"I had a vision of all of us watching it here"
The pixie vampire shrugged and popped the DVD into the machine. The family gathered around the vast setting to watch it. Esme and Carlisle in one loveseat, Emmett and Rosalie in another, Jasper with Alice in his lap in an armchair and Edward alone in another.
The DVD started. the setting was the local high school and the principal welcomed the friends and families of the student body to talent night. The family laughed through quite a few numbers where the students were simply bad and watched as the DVD ended with the last person.
A person that they never thought had the guts to go onstage and sing.
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
On the stage in front of them Bella Swan was having the time of her life. she sang, incredibly well, smiling widely even though she kept shooting glares at someone on the side. The lyrics on her lips almost a message to the family sitting in the large living room a hundred years later.
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Emmett whooped seeing the girl he still considered a little sister rock it on the scene. Unlike his proud and joyful smile, Edward's expression was one of mirth. He didn't expect her to actually move on and have fun. Ending her song Bella smirked, winked and curtsied before deciding to take life by the horns and skipping out of stage.
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
Oh, yeah, yeah
