A/N: Tag to 'Jurisdiction,' 'Ships in the Night,' and 'Safe Harbor,' basically a short drabble about Borin and Gibbs because there aren't nearly enough. Warning: spoilers for all three episiodes…sorta. Oh and I don't own NCIS, because if I did Borin would show up a lot more often.

He had worked at NCIS long enough to know you meet all sorts of people when working on cases. There were young people and old people, the good guys and the scums, the freaks and geeks, and everything in between. But she was different from anyone he'd ever met.

To those around him it seemed like she was destined to be ex-wife number five. After all she was an attractive red head who was shockingly similar to himself. But then again things hadn't worked out with Hollis who always had qualities similar to his own. The same could be said about Jenny, but then again there was so much more to that story.

In time he became quite fond of her as did his team. She was strong and independent; she took control and got things done. She shared his taste in coffee and was quick to smirk or make a sarcastic remark. He had a lot or respect for her and he liked her. The Navy really did look good on her. He just wasn't sure if he liked her like that. He knew he was jealous when she found out she had gone on a date with someone on that fancy ship, but he still wasn't sure. After all he didn't have the best track record with women, especially redheads. He knew his team thought he needed a new girlfriend, that his team thought he was lonely. But he wasn't he had an excellent team that were like children to him, people who kept him from being lonely. Plus he could always bury himself in his job. Still he couldn't help but wonder how she felt about him. He had overheard her conversation with DiNozzo and Ziva the other day, and it didn't seem like she wanted him.

Sighing, he went downstairs to do what he did best. Drink bourbon and work on his boat until he figured out if he wanted her or drunk himself to sleep under his boat. The CGIS agent had definitely gotten into his head now he had just had to figure out if she was going to stay there.

A/N: I'm not sure where to take this story but I'm thinking a squeal sounds good? Let me know what you think!
