So this is my first Roswell fanfic. I've always written x-files smut but I decided to try something new. I don't own the characters I just use them for my own enjoyment. I want to also give credit to the majority of dialog in the following. They come from a song called 'I'm not gonna do anything without you' by Jamie O'Neal and Mark Wills. I listened to the cd for the thousandth time and got the idea. If you hate it don't let me know. I will gladly accept constructive criticism. I want to thank Sara for getting me hooked on this website. You are awesome in more ways than one. Oh yeah, thank you so much for the computer. I love it!
Enjoy and please review. I'm

The time had finally come. I was throwing that last bit of caution into the air and going for what I really wanted. I looked across the empty restaurant. She stood leaning ever so slightly across a table wiping it down. I watched as she lifted her leg just a bit to balance her self and reach the far end of the table. She had sent everyone home and she thought I was sitting here doing my homework. I do that, sit here and pretend to do my homework. I usually watch her for an hour or so, then go home and do my homework. I closed the book and slowly stood up. She had moved to another table and was not paying me any attention.
As a slid my arms around her waist I felt her startle. I leaned down next to her ear. "I didn't mean to scare you".
"What are you doing Max?" She asked in that seductive voice of hers. I turned her to face me. "I'm gonna make you a promise. Starting tonight if I never do anything else for the rest of my life, I'm gonna hold somebody. I'm gonna look in someone's eyes, till I'm so overcome that I cry. I'm gonna love somebody More than anybody. Baby there's so much I wanna do, but I'm not gonna do anything without you."
She looked at me a bit confused. After all that happened I guess she figured I wouldn't want her in my arms. I don't think she slept with Kyle, and I'm going to get her back. I smiled and slid my hands up to rest against her soft silky cheeks.
"There's no way I'll ever give up, there's no way I'll lose. If I have to sacrifice everything, then that's what I'll do. This is my dream I live and breathe, all I think about. This is the fire that burns in me that will never go out. Baby there's so much I wanna do, but I'm not gonna do anything with out you."
She shook her head and tugged at my hands. "Max…"
I placed my index finger against her lips. "Shh Liz. Just think about what I said. We will be together. It may not be today but it will happen. I love you and you are my destiny. I'm not worried about anything but getting you back into my life. We can work through anything." I watched the emotions play across her face. The doubt, the worry and her love.
She started to bite her lip like she does. I lost it then. I leaned down and I kissed her. I had to, it had been way to long since I had tasted those soft warm lips. I thought my knees would buckle when the familiar rush of emotion wafted through me. I felt whole. I knew then with out any doubt. She was the one I'd love forever.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and I pulled her closer. She broke the kiss a while later. "Oh god Max" she sighed. She rested her head against my chest. "This is crazy. We can't do this." She pulled away and walked across the dim restaurant. "I can't do this. I promised that this wouldn't happen." She turned to me. I saw the sadness in her eyes.
"I don't know what all this is about Liz" I told her softly. "And I'm not going to ask again. I just want you in my life as more than a friend."
I crossed the sort distance to her and pulled her close again. I felt our hearts beating in rhythm. I kissed her again and knew that everything was working itself out. Destiny always has the last say.
The End
