Waverly Academy's parking lot was full of student arriving from their Thanksgiving breaks on Sunday night. Kids were getting out of their parent's shiny SUVs or getting out of a car full of other Waverly Owl's; getting back from the train station. Everyone arrived with their already over packed suitcases even more stuffed, bringing clothes back from home.
Brett Messerschmidt got out of the passenger's seat of Sebastian Valenti's black Mustang. Sebastian got out of the driver's seat and opened up the trunk; he pulled out Brett's Betsey Johnson suitcases and put them on the ground next to the car. He put his Tommy Hilfiger bag on his arm, tousled his dark hair; making sure his gel still kept his hair intact, and shut the trunk.
"Thanks for the ride." Brett said to Sebastian. Brett had been tutoring him Wednesday and he made her late to the train station. She missed her train, but Sebastian came by to offer her a ride up to New Jersey, where he was also from. She even invited to her family's Thanksgiving dinner, but mostly so he would appall the Coopers, her sister's future-in-laws, and it had worked. With Brett's short leopard skirt, Sebastian's gelled hair and reference to TiVo as the invention of the twenty-first century, the Coopers cut their visit short. Brett also actually ended up having fun with Sebastian, and he gave her a ride back to the school.
"Well thanks for joining me. And for Thanksgiving." Sebastian said as they walked through the parking lot towards the campus. "Latin tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Four in the library. Don't be late." Brett smiled as she walked towards her dorm. The wind blew her red hair to the side as she walked. She buttoned up her Burberry coat and walked briskly, her black riding boots clacking.
She saw a petite girl with brown curly hair up ahead. "Jenny!"
Jenny Humphrey turned around and waited for Brett to catch up. Jenny was her old roommate, until they had to switch rooms and now Brett was with Tinsley Carmichael and Jenny with Callie Vernon. Jenny smiled at Brett as she neared. "Hey. So I got your email. Your Thanksgiving wasn't too good huh?"
"It wasn't at first. You know Sebastian Valenti?" Jenny nodded. Brett told her the whole story, starting with missing the train to apologizing to Sebastian for being a bitch and using him. "But basically my break was pretty good. How was yours?"
"Good. I met this guy Casey, he goes to Union. I just want to have fun though. No more serious relationships for a while." Jenny said, going by what Tinsley suggested.
"That's good." Brett responded, while fidgeting with her seven gold earrings.
