fading fireworks

pyromaniac.

she's a hurricane of color
(reds&&greens&&pinks&&blues)
and if you try to tie her down
she'll wink (ohnoyoudon'tdarling)
and dance away like the child she is
a beautifulfiery disaster
(he wouldn't change her for the world)

she opens those (ohtoo) pink lips
and a billion lies come out
but she's too picture-perfect for
anyone
to notice
(but him, that is)

she gets wings tattooed on her back
and her parents are furious but she's lily luna and she doesn't care.
and when he asks her why
she says, "it's the only way i can fly."
and he says that there are broomsticks for that
but she just shakes her head and swirls away in her hurricane.

"hey, teddy? we'll always be together, right?"
"of course, lily."
and she smiles (there's those lips again) and hugs him
and he loves her and she
smellslikesmoke
and the age difference is there
(oh god it's huge)
and he can't help but think that the hurricane of color
(reds&&greens&&pinks&&blues)
has claimed another victim.

redredred tangles
with
goldgoldgold locks
and he thinks it's ironic that
red&&gold make gryffindor
and, god, he's never been more ashamed of
cowardice.
but he looks into blue eyes
(&&he's imagining that they're green)
and reminds himself that
(although he's a pyromaniac)
He can still get burned.

regretted anything more.

Lily Luna will always have green eyes to me. Always. I love the pairing Teddy/Lily, but I've never tried writing it, so here's my attempt! Also, if you've read my other stories (which I doubt), you'll know that I said I wouldn't change my pen-name again, but I just really hated the last one, so here we are.
