The School

The School is a refuge for all Characters who end up single by the end of the series. Some Characters who died single are also included in the School. Every year, new Fans are invited to the School. There is no way to refuse. Any and all fandoms are included in this story, I just marked two. Chapter one is actually basic information about how the School and the Choosing work.

1. Explanation

All single fictional characters end up here eventually. Every year, the Executive Staff of the School pull dedicated Fangirls and guys from the Fan World into the realm of the School. When the Fans are first pulled through, they are given an orientation and presented with their room key. Halfway through the school year, there is a grand ceremony where the Fans' "perfect matches" are presented to them. No one knows who will be matched with who until the ceremony. At the ceremony, a large glass bowl is set on the middle of the stage, filled with little slips of paper. Each slip has two names on it, the name of a Fan and the name of a Character. After the ceremony, when everyone has been matched, there is the Kissing Tradition. All of the new couples circle the auditorium and share their first kiss. The school day ends early, allowing the couples to get acquainted with their Match, though most Fans are dissatisfied. The winter break begins, and all students are required to buy at least one Christmas Present from the Campus Store, which contains everything you could possibly want or need (because it's magical). The one present must go to their Match. Students are allowed to purchase more than one gift to give to a best friend or relative that was Chosen. As a gift from the Staff, students are allowed one conversation with one person of their choice from the Fan World. This conversation can only happen on Christmas Day. When Christmas comes, all students meet in the courtyard for a gift exchange. The couples exchange gifts before any extra gifts are given. Couples are then gifted with two room keys. The keys open the door to a suite, meant for the couple to share. At the end of a four year term, if the couples are satisfied, the Matched are wed. If they are not satisfied, the whole process starts over. After the weddings of the satisfied, there is a grand celebration/farewell ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, the happy couples are sent to the Fan World to live out the rest of their lives.
