"Hey y'all, watch this!"
Nate, Hardison and Sophie all look up in shock at the shout as Christian skateboards through the doorway, wearing rollerblades instead of sneakers.
Eliot, Lindsey and Parker didn't even twitch from where they were concentrating on the Street Fighter bout playing out on the screen.
"You'll hurt yerself," Eliot warns without looking, even as he smashed Hardison's now-stationary character into the floor in a gout of cartoon blood, a small smile on his lips.
Lindsey makes a noise of agreement before speaking. "Yeah. Remember what happened with the stunt pogo-stick?"
Parker turns to look suspiciously at Christian. "You have a stunt pogo-stick?" she demands. "And you didn't tell me?"
It's just enough to finally distract Christian who tumbles to the floor, banging his head off the doorframe on the way down.
"Ow..." he grumbles into the silence.
The silence stretches slightly further before Parker says, "I'm not explaining to Steve," and tucks herself back under Lindsey's arm, imperiously holding out her hand for Eliot's controller so that she too can have a go at beating Hardison while his attention isn't on the screen.
