Chapter 1
For miles all you could possibly hear was the screaming cries of Elena Gilbert. Elena had stumbled into the room in the cemetery, covering her mouth to keep from awakening unwanted voices. Hair was stuck to her face, her clothes were torn and raggedy, and so much pain and suffering was overwhelming her mind.
Nothing ever went right, something always got in the way with her and Damon. No matter what something always got in the way. Was it fate? Was this the universes way of making sure they never ended of together?
"Please don't leave me Damon" Elena screamed hoping that somehow he was hear her desperate cries.
Unbeknownst to Elena, Damon was standing right in front of her, watching her, gazing at the woman he was madly in love with. He couldn't control it, it wasn't his choice to leave her. If he would have had it his way, he would have passed through Bonnie, gotten to be with the girl he loved again, and not to mention he would have gotten his drinking buddy back.
This was the worst pain he could have ever felt, the feeling knowing he was never going to be able to see her again. Any other time he would have gladly died because there was actually The Other Side, but since it was destroyed, who knows where him and bonnie would end up.
Damon pushed a stand of Elena's hair back, he could feel the dampness on her hair from her tears.
Elena gasped as she felt her hair being pushed back, but still not being able to see anything in front of her. But she knew, she knew it was Damon.
"God I don't want to leave you, but I don't have a choice, baby" Damon muttered, trying to hold back tears, even he knew there was no possible way she could hear him.
"Why did it have to be like this, it should have been me. I can't lose you Damon".
At that point Elena had put her head in her knees, not wanting to have to look at or see anyone. No one else mattered, the only person that ever did matter was gone and there was no getting him back.
Elena was bouncing back from every possible alternative. Maybe someway somehow Elena could get him back, she could do everything it took. Or she could just simply turn it off. Make all of the pain go away. She was able to do it once before. But all those people she killed. She couldn't do that again, she wouldn't hurt innocent people just because she didn't want to feel again.
"I love you Damon, I love you, please don't leave me" Elena managed to get out in between breaths.
"God Elena, I love you so much. But I promise you I will get out of this place and come back to you" Damon muttered. He leaned over to kiss his girl on the forehead, and walked away.
While walking outside in the cemetery he made his way over to Bonnie. Both their eyes were empty, there was absolutely no hope left. When suddenly a white bright light started to blind their eyes. At this time, all they have is each other. All the hate they had for each other would have to be put behind them. Damon and Bonnie looked at each other before the white light succumbed them.
"Do you think it will hurt?" Bonnie asked while putting Damon's hand in his.
"I don't kn-"Damon was unable to finish his sentence before the bright light surrounded them, and tool them away to, as far as they could tell, Hell.
