Hi! This is just a little (tiny) introduction to this story, and there is more information about the main character in the summary. I will be uploading the first real chapter (hopefully) this week! Hope you like it!
Prologue
A small prick on my neck awoke my senses. I was floating in velvety black darkness. My mind fuzzy, and confused. I lay completely immobile on a hard surface, as a cool slippery wet substance creeped, and crawled up my body. I twitched slightly as another small prick poked my wrist. Something cold and tingly entered my blood stream. I could feel the tendrils tickling each nerve as it circulated around my body. I tried to tug my eyelids open, but it was futile. The now apparent ache in my back was slowly relieved as nearly slipped back into the dark oblivion of unconsciousness. Something was fitted over my nose and mouth, and few seconds later a cool gust of oxygen assaulted my lungs. An elastic strap snapped on the back of my head as a small quiet voice said;
"This is the stuff we put on her eyes, right?"
"Read the damn label kid" Said a gruff voice.
A sharp intake of breath echoed around the room. Why do I recognize that voice? It seems so familiar, yet so different.
"B..b...ut..." Stuttered the small voice.
"Just follow my orders will you?" Grumbled the gruff voice.
"Ye...ss sir" Replied the small voice.
I heard a small pop, and a sticky substance was rubbed on my eyelids by trembling fingers. Another small prick poked my arm, but this time I could barely feel the snaking tendrils of a drug entering my bloodstream.
"Are you done yet kid?" A gruff voice asked.
"Y..yeah, its ready. Now we just wait for the drugs to activate hibernation. " Responded the quiet voice quickly.
Their voices faded as a loud door slammed and cleared the fuzziness out of my head.
