Rose POV
All I remembered on the first day of school was the rain. The rain hid my face, but got me drenched. As I walked in my brand new homeroom, I realised that I was early. There was only a few people there; a blonde girl texting at the back of the room, some guy sleeping with his head on the table, and him. He looked at me as I wandered around the front of the room. There was something about him that made him irresistable. He was chewing on his nails when I took a seat beside him without actually realising that I've done it. He looked over at me and I shared into his deep brown eyes, once again, without realising that I've done it.
"What's your name?" I asked. God, I'm such a terrible conversation starter.
"John Smith," he grinned, obviously joking, but I didn't realise that.
"I'm Rose, nice to meet you, John." I replied.
He chuckled as I frowned. He dismissed the joke with a little wave of his hand and said, " I was kidding. I'm Seth."
Seth. What a marvelous name. I nodded slowly, getting the conversation awkward, but he didn't look like he minded. A bunch of loud girls came in laughing, and swarmed our table. They started to flirt with him, hitting him casually and all that, and I seemed invisible. Seth looked like he enjoyed it, since he started to flirt back, completely forgetting about me like I wasn't even there. I looked out the window, the rain had stopped.
Thinking back, we never really continued that conversation. There would always be something new.
Well, that was my first day as a freshman.
