"Do you want to see the boy I was talking about?" she asked.
Sara hesitated. Did she? On one hand, she didn't think it was right to spy on people. On the other hand, she was very curious. "Erm...sure."
Lucy grinned. "Okay," she said, "Do you see a boy at the far left side of the Slytherin table?" Sara squinted a bit, but he wasn't hard to find. He was exactly what Lucy described him as: A boy with wild, black hair. He was talking to a Gryffindor, who patted his head and left.
"If you ask me," said Lucy, cutting off Sara's observations, "He should have been in Gryffindor. He looks like a nice person, doesn't he?
"Yeah," said Sara, still distracted by a familiar feeling, as if he was a long-lost friend.
"He's really cute too," continued Lucy, giggling. "Of course I never really met him, but he's tall, and he has the greenest eyes ever!"
Sara darted her head to Lucy. "Wait, say that again-"
But her voice was drowned by applause. The Welcome Feast was starting.
"Well, I have to go!" half-shouted Lucy. "I'll talk to you later!"
While Sara was eating, she couldn't help but think about the Slytherin boy. He looked so FAMILIAR, but from where? And Lucy said something about him having green eyes. This drove her curiosity the most. "Well," thought Sara to herself, "It wouldn't hurt to look at him one more time, would it?" She casually looked at table where he was sitting. Then, something unexpected happened: He looked up from his food. He looked straight at her, as if he knew she was watching. His eyebrows slightly raised in surprise, as did Sara's. "Lucy wasn't joking," thought Sara. "His eyes are REALLY green!"
She did the only thing she could think of: She smiled at him. Another unexpected thing happened: He smiled back, as if he re-united with an old friend. He looked at the food, which turned into desserts. As Sara was helping herself to cake, her mind started to wander to one of her favorite memories: Her first night at Hogwarts.
"HUFFLEPUFF!" cried the Sorting Hat. An eleven-year-old Sara smiled as the Sorting Hat was taken off of her. She went to the cheering Hufflepuff table and sat down. A while later, she was greeting another Hufflepuff. Suddenly, a frenzy of whispers spread in the Great Hall. Curious, Sara looked up. There was a small boy that was shaking as he sat down. The Sorting Hat was placed on him. A moment later, the Sorting Hat cried,"SLYTHERIN!" The Slytherin table cheered, and there was even a Gryffindor that was clapping as well, as if in approval. However the newly-named Slytherin looked like he was going to be sick. Nervously, he sat down. Somehow he glanced at Sara. Sara smiled at him, as if to let him know that it was going to be okay. He smiled back, looking a bit better and greeted the Slytherins around him. The boy had green eyes, too. And he had...wild black hair.
"That's it!" cried the present Sara. Except for a couple of first-years that looked at her curiously, no one noticed her outcry. She realized it: The boy that Lucy was talking about was the boy she saw at her first night at Hogwarts. She looked at the Slytherin table, hoping to catch his attention. However, he was leaving. Actually, everyone was leaving. The Welcome Feast was over.
