Hermione stood outside the small building where her and her love had once snuck away too after the Yule ball. It had taken her so long to overcome her insecurities and distrust of the pale haired Slytherin but she had managed to do so. It had been six long months since the war had ended and she was left alone. She lost her best friend and she lost the love of her life. As the tears rolled down her cheeks she slide to the ground closing her eyes and her mind wondered to the day that she and her secret love had first professed their love to each other. It was at the end of 5th year and they had snuck away together and went to the small building. The night was chill and the stars were shinning high and bright in the sky. She remembers that he had accio'd a bed for them to lie on. He helped her onto the bed then crawled up in it with her. She was so happy that they could just cuddle together. She was just about to slip off into sleep when he leaned over and kissed her cheek then whispered in her ear.
"I love you Hermione Granger" as he said the words her heart was overwhelmed with happiness and joy. She rolled over to him and kissed him with all her might.
"I love you to Draco Malfoy" she whispered to him and then that night they had made love for the very first time.
The memory faded and the pain in her chest grew more but she refused to stop thinking about him she just couldn't forget all they had gone through. Her mind wondered again to yet another happy but sad memory. It was the middle of 6th year and she and Draco had been together for nearly two and a half years and they were as happy as could be. They had finally come out as a couple to her two best friends Harry and Ron and well Ginny of course. Well one night when they were all in Hogsmeade Draco had gotten down on one knee and her to marry him. Without hesitation she said yes. Three short months later the wed in a small ceremony that consisted of just Harry, Ron, Ginny and most surprising of the guests Draco's parents. Lucius still was not thrilled completely with the idea of his son marrying a Muggle Born but he had grown to like Hermione and was okay with it. The tears began to fall like rain as she remembered the day they got married, remembered how it had save Draco from becoming a death eater. She let her mind slip once more to a memory that she will forever cherish. It was nearing the end of 7th year and the war. They had already been married a year. She had been feeling ill for the last couple of months and she had not been getting her monthly visit and she was beginning to worry. One night she went to Draco and told him that something must be wrong and that she was afraid she was dying. He had tried to calm her as much as he could all the way to Madam Pomfrey's office. After running a few tests she decided to run a spell along with a couple of Muggle procedures. She had Hermione pee on a little stick thing and then she drew some blood. After about half an hour or so Madam Pomfrey announced that she and Draco were going to be parents. She would never forget the expression of happiness that overwhelmed his face. She smiled a little through the tears and she picked herself up off the ground, wrapping her hands around her now eight month belly she walked into the sunset.
