Cherie quietly stared at her feet, a soft blush making pale cheeks rosie. The young girl stood before the counter of the patisserie with an adorable little Valentine in her hands, presenting it to the beloved baker Oliver Kirkland. She had been the first to buy at his patisserie when it opened, nearly five years prior, and the now ten year old kept coming back every day after school.
"H-Happy Valentine's Day, O-Ollie!" The little girl was too cute for words at the moment; perhaps it was because she was a little child being nice to the unique baker, or because she was dressed in an adorable little red and white Valentine dress. Either way, Oliver was flushed with joy as he 'fanboyed' over his favored customer.
"Aw, thank you, duckie!" The colorful Brit gave the fourth grader a bright smile. Honestly, she was the sweetest thing ever.
"Y-you're w-welcome!"
But now what was the baker to do on this joyful day? He knew that little Cherie was up rather early, and most likely be here a little while longer before heading off to school until 15:00 roughly. It warmed his heart to see such a sweetie, yet he had nothing to give except... Ah-ha! Perhaps Oliver could bring sweet treats for her and her little classmates to share on this cheerful day of love. It would be a treat for his little cupcake princess and would be a kind thing to do (Though he has done something similar before for Cherie on her birthday and several holidays prior).
"Duckie, would you like for me to bring cupcakes again to share?" The smile Oliver recieved in reply was nearly blinding. Aw, she could make even the coldest heart melt with her happiness. It made Oliver want to pick her up and cuddle the American child close to his chest as he squealed at her cuteness.
"Th-thank you, Ollie! I-I gotta go n-now, s-so I-I'll see y-you at s-school!" With that, she aimed another smile at her best adult friend and skipped out with a wave. The baker waved back, bright blue eyes glowing with happiness. She'd get the best cupcakes he could make, he decided.
Whistling a jolly tune, he set out to the kitchen with his adorable little Valentine in hand. He opened it as he walked, an awing sound escaping his lips Cherie made him a little cupcake dolly. Awww... She was so sweet. Too sweet, honestly.
